Mikey is a star on the rise in the Pacific Northwest and instrumental guitar community alike.  He is the second runner up of the 2023 International Fingerstyle Guitar Championship at the Walnut Valley Music Festival (Winfield, KS) and the apprentice of 6 string bass virtuoso Josh Cohen (@themusicofjoshcohen).  Primarily performing on a 7 string Charlie Hunter style hybrid guitar, he combines the fingerstyle technique of Charlie Hunter as well as the polyphonic piano-like tapping technique of Stanley Jordan.  He delivers an exceptional melodic harmony without the use of loopers or backing tracks across genres spanning from Blues, Funk, Swing, and Bossa Nova.
