This season the Revival is scheduled for Halloween weekend, 10/30 through 11/1. In accordance with Covid-19 protocols, we are presenting a virtual music festival: one you can enjoy via any streaming device and from the comfort of your home, as well as in person at the five venues throughout Bend. We are not calling you out to the show, but rather encouraging all revivalists to tune-in online. We will be broadcasting livestream coverage of the festival from seven outdoor sound stages throughout the weekend, showcasing 80+  local and regional acts.
We are actively seeking volunteers to help put on this great festival on.

What is Bend Roots?

Bend Roots is an annual festival and renaissance of creativity rising up in Central Oregon. Our culture thrives in connection with nature and the arts, and the Revival links us to both. An annual ritual down by the river which celebrates the creative talents of our community, the “Roots Fest” is an interactive showcase of music, art and culture in Bend. Proceeds from sponsorship of the event, donations, sales of merchandise, and Deschutes beer support art and music education projects, through camps and workshops, and at six schools in Central Oregon.

October 30th – November 1st

A grand celebration of culture and live music in Bend!

The BEND ROOTS REVIVAL is an authentic grassroots community event. Since 2006 Bend Roots has grown in the spirit of education and is designed to help cultivate the soul of our community. We believe this celebration is vital to our wellbeing now more than ever, and we agree, safety should be everyone’s first priority.

This season, seven sound stages, distributed around the town of Bend, will host 80 live-streamed performances. We are creating socially distanced environments for the acts to perform on outdoor stages.

All revivalists (patrons of the event) are encouraged to stay at home, and tune-in to any performance on any stage via the live-stream feeds at http://www.bendroots.net. The sound stages and areas around them are there for bands and their families. Occupancy at each venue will be limited and enforced to comply with COVID safety protocols.

Net proceeds from merchandise sales, sponsorship and donations at this event grow the Bend Roots Revival, and support art and music education through the local non-profit Rise Up Presents.

Many thanks to all who are already helping with sponsorship this year!
Thanks, Casey’s and the Oregon Community Foundation, BIGS, Redbird Physio, El Sancho, Silver Moon, Worthy, Skjersaa Group/Duke Warner, Cosmic Depot, Avid Cider, and Spoken Moto.

Arts Education

Revenue from fundraising efforts, donations at the festival, Deschutes Brewery beer sales, and merchandise sold at the Revival, support art and music education in our community through the Roots Educational Collective, and the local 501(c)(3) charitable arts organization, Rise Up Presents.

This group of artists, musicians, local businesses partners, and philanthropists has grown, over the last decade, to help fund and run arts-outreach programs at Westside Village Magnet School, REALMS Middle & High School, Cascades Academy, The Tamarack Program and Skyline High School.

Other Roots Events

In addition to the Revival, throughout the year, Bend Roots organizes a series of interactive art and music events, like the legendary Church of Neil celebration and Dead at the Doj (multi-band live tributes to Neil Young and the Grateful Dead respectively), the Chow Summer Jam, and the Roots Art and Music Camp for Youth.
